There are a lot of doctors and assistants and it is very hard to reach them in time. So they use pagers. With this those who are in charge can send messages to them and call them whenever they need. They also can send small messages about some patients and about last day information. The pager industry has decreased over the years mostly with the appearance of the mobile phones. Between 2003 and 2008 was also a big decrease of it. In 2003 it has generated $6.2 billion and in 2008 $2.1 billion. Some specialist say that is might meant the death of the pagers but there are some optimistic people whose do believe in the use of it. They say that there are situations where it should be used instead of the mobile phone. This could be when the mobile phone is not functioning in several situations or when a big organization or company cannot afford to pay so big phone bills. It is easier and cheaper to use pagers. Some of the people do not use it because they are accustomed to the mobile phones and for them is very unusual using it. But with time they also can get used to it. The idea is not to leave them to die. They are useful but we have to find the best suitable situation when they cannot be replaced with other electronically object. We cannot notice development in the pager industry only decreases. This industry is in bad situation and they have to find out the way to the solution.
A lot of people agree that we do not have to let the pager industry die. They are useful just have to find the right place.
